Abstract

Electronic waste or commonly known as WEEE is consisting of any broken or unwanted electrical or electronic appliances. It is considering that many components of such equipment are considered toxic and are not biodegradable. Computer waste is becoming a difficult problem with millions of devices becoming obsolete each year as the technology industry produces faster, better and less expensive equipment. By using the Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) through the four factors that influences the WEEE management, the computer companies could know how to make the WEEE be more useful in the future. The 4 factors are actor involvement, company financial, WEEE market, and externalities. From those all four factors that influence the WEEE management, only WEEE Markets and Externalities is significance and give big influence to the WEEE Management. The markets of WEEE are including the demanding of the consumer and retailer on the WEEE products and market supply of waste product in the future for company sustainability in the industry. The externalities of WEEE are focus to economic factor and its impact to environment and human health cause of the waste system. The materials that recovered from WEEE are often in richer quantity than their original sources which their recovery is much cheaper as well. WEEE also can be considered to be a rich and cheap source of many valuable substances like plastics, gold, copper etc. This also can be implies with better collection and processing techniques, WEEE recycling industry, set up with contributions from the government and the consumers that can generate remarkable revenue and at the same time providing a sustainable WEEE management technique.
