Abstract

This study proposes the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) decision model employing the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to identify the critical components. A case study of a milling machine at Community College is carried out to validate the model. The developed model can be used to support the decision making of the critical component to be prioritized in maintenance activities. The finding of analysis from the developed FMEA decision model reveals that there are two critical components of the milling machine that has been identified. By holding this information, this research finding does help in minimizing the maintenance costs and time.
