PARAMETER SETTING IN CONTROLLED SHORT MOULD PROBLEM ON DAMPER INJECTION MOULDING

Abstract

Dampers were identified as a major contributor to defective products in this study. The damper was damaged as a result of a shortmould produced during the injection molding machine's production process. This research will help researchers overcome a problem caused by defective damper. The burn marks are caused by mould overheating and air trapping. It can be overcome by adjusting the temperature in accordance with the heat transfer mechanism and flow process analysis. The goal of the design experiment is to reduce the faulty damper, which is a major contributor to waste. Data will be compared beginning with the first testing and ending with the last testing to obtain the appropriate damper parameters for the injection molding process in automobiles.
