Abstract

The level of air pollution has increased with time by lots of factors which results in harmful effects on human health. As a precaution, a good security system is necessary to develop. However, the current technologies were detecting multiple gases and not focus on carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2), also the reading value does not display remotely. To overcome this problem, the IoT – Based Monitoring System for the Unwanted Gas Detector has been developed. The inputs are CO, CO2, and temperature humidity detectors while an alarm, LCD, and light indicators as the output of the device connected to the microprocessor. As a result, the device functioning very well based on the design and can give warning signs through the alarm and notification to smart devices as well as display on the LCD synchronously when the gas detectors read the exceeds limit. In conclusion, this device can be used to detect unwanted gases by monitoring through IoT in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for people in a certain area.
